How do I arrange a cremation for my pet?
You can call Quiet Waters directly 867-334-3308.
Sandy Secord will answer the phone or call you back if you leave a message.

If your pet is euthanized at the local vet clinics:
* you can take your pet home and Sandy can pick them up from your residence; or
* Sandy can arrange to meet you in town and transfer your pet to her care; or
* you are welcome to bring your pet out to the Quiet Waters cabin.
* you can also leave your pet with the clinic and Sandy will pick your pet up there.
(The clinic will add a handling fee for this service).
Payment for cremation:
You can pay Quiet Waters directly through etransfer or cash.
If your pet is cremated at one of the vet clinics, you can pay for it at that time.
(The clinics do add a handling fee on top of the cost of the cremation.)
What do I do if my Pet dies at home?
Call Quiet Waters at 867-334-3308.
* A pick up can be arranged if you live within the Whitehorse area.
* If you live in a community outside of Whitehorse, a drop off at Quiet Waters can be arranged or a meet up within the City limits for a transfer.
* The Quiet Waters team will pick up pets from Air North Cargo if they are being flown into Whitehorse from your community.
Does Quiet Waters Pet Crematorium have designated hours?
Quiet Waters ia able to accept pets almost any time. You may get voice mail during sleeping hours or if Sandy is on the road. Leave a message and Sandy will call you back as soon as possible.
If you are driving in from a community or have made arrangements with Sandy, your pet can be dropped off at the Quiet Waters Cabin almost anytime to work with your travel into town.
How soon can my pet be cremated and returned to me?
We understand how difficult it is to wait for the return of your pet. Our goal is to have this accomplished in the shortest time possible, usually within one week. Please let us know if you have a special request and we will make every effort to accommodate.
Can I be sure they are my pet’s ashes if I choose individual cremation?
This is a very common concern. Quiet Waters absolutely guarantees that the ashes of your pet, and your pet alone will be returned to you if you choose a private cremation. QW returns your ashes to you in a small cloth bag inside a box.
What can I do with my pet’s ashes afterwards?
* If you are looking for something special for your pet’s ashes, Quiet Waters does have wooden boxes and ceramic urns available.
* Lumel Studios in Whitehorse does a variety of glass pet memory items that incorporate some of the ashes.
* There are on-line ordering options for other memorial items.
What if I don’t want my pet’s ashes returned?
Quiet Waters will look after your pet’s ashes.
Note: There is a reduced cremation fee for those who do not want their pets’ ashes returned.
I have a small exotic pet/bird – can you help me?
We can certainly help you with these special pets. Please give us a call and we can discuss the specific details for the size of your pet.
I’m still having trouble with the loss of my friend.
